Exhibition: Art intervening in the space of science

Here’s another really interesting exhibition in Ottawa that sounds like it’s worth checking out.

Breaking Point: an exhibition that explores the potential for art to intervene in the space of engineering

Taking place at the University of Ottawa’s experimental chemical engineering laboratory, Breaking Point presents an opportunity to view the processes and practices of art and engineering from a non-traditional perspective. Although art and engineering are commonly treated as two distinct, separate fields of knowledge, they can in fact be read alongside each other. By focusing on the visual and conceptual possibilities that can emerge from this intersection, Breaking Point stands as an attempt to open up new dialogue and collaboration between the two fields.

Vernissage is tonight 6-9pm
CHG Pilot Plant Laboratory, Room D415, Colonel By Hall, 161 Louis Pasteur
